We offer forensic pathology services for families in need of private autopsies or second opinions on autopsies that were already performed. We also offer consultation and expert witness services for civil and criminal cases.
We provide consultation and expert witness services on civil and criminal cases. Autopsy services are provided on all manner of cases provided they have been released from local medical examiner/coroner jurisdiction.
Dr. Mazari is a triple boarded forensic pathologist with board certifications in Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology, and Forensic Pathology who holds unrestricted medical licenses in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. At out initial meeting we will discuss whether a complete autopsy is necessary or whether a partial autopsy will properly address your questions/concerns. At this time we can also discuss whether ancillary testing such as histology (microscopic examination), toxicology, or genetic testing will need to be performed.
Authorization to perform an autopsy must come from the decedent's next of kin. The order of next of kin follows the following order:
1. Spouse or Civil Union Partner
2. Adult (18 or older) Children
3. Parents
4. Siblings
5. Grandparents
6. Aunts and Uncles
7. Cousins
